Consultant Network Engineer

Netsource is looking for a Technical Consultant Engineer to join a managed services company on site at one of their clients in Birmingham. The role requires someone to design and implement technology based solutions which meet the clients' business requirements and lead or contribute to the technical delivery of projects, ensuring compliance to client expectations.

Role Responsibilities:

- Lead or contribute to the technical delivery of projects, that include design, configuration and installation of technical solutions that meet client expectations
- Create and maintain project related documentation, ensuring that accurate information is always available to other staff
- Build and maintain technical relationships with clients to maximize opportunities within those clients
- Provide technical pre-sales support to the account teams when required
- Attend user groups, technical training and seminars to increase knowledge in relevant areas

Skills and Experience:

- Experienced CCNP or Equivalent
- Experience in configuration and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, F5, Riverbed & Checkpoint hardware/software
- Practical knowledge of common protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS etc
- Demonstrable communication and people skills, with an ability, capacity and skill to perceive, access and manage the emotions of one's self, of others, and of groups
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, with an ability to explain complex concepts at all levels
