Construction Supervisor

We are seeking a Construction Coordinator to oversee field activities for a Transmission line project in Minnesota. The Coordinator will ensure that construction is safely accomplished in accordance with project guidelines, engineering plans and specifications. This is a 2 year + assignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work as part of the Construction Management team and verify materials delivery and inspection of all components are compliant with design and specifications.
- Work with contractors, other inspectors, engineering team, and other stakeholders to remove obstacles to construction and ensure scope and schedule compliance.
- Oversees contract source inspectors in the performance of functional audits and inspection responsibilities for transmission line materials and substation materials
- Work with procurement and engineering, establish a source inspection plan for key materials and equipment with each provider as required to meet delivery schedule.
- Organize logistics plans with material vendors, procurement, and construction personnel to ensure effective and well-timed delivery of product.

REQUIREMENTS

- 5+ years of experience in complex construction and erection associated with high voltage power line and substation erection projects
- Demonstrated transmission line construction experience, supervision skills, familiarity with transmission line components, and accomplished report preparation a must
- Field and laboratory materials testing, construction and transmission line standards familiarization, engineering and technical background a plus.
- Associates Degree minimum
- Spanish fluency is highly desired
- Strong interpersonal and written communications ability needed along with proficiency in MS Office suite
