Construction Manager (Wireless Cell Site Construction Telecom) Job

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (Wireless Cell Sites) needed for a ONE (1) PLUS YEAR CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY with Yoh's TELECOM client located in San Diego, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE:

- Coordinate and supervise the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction. Construction Manager is in charge of planning, and directing the construction project. Also the "point of contact" for all projects assigned.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Civil construction knowledge
- WIRELESS CELL SITES CONSTRUCTION background
- Any Telecom (AT&T, Ericsson, Sprint, etc.) Equipment knowledge

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Construction Manager ( wireless construction background) will develop, manage, and implement project schedule for specific geographic/market area
- Construction Manager ( wireless construction background) will track and report project dates, status and actions weekly
- Coordinate site walks
- Work as a liaison between REGIONAL NETWORK, MARKET TEAMS, VENDORS AND ALL HQ ORGANIZATIONS.
- Responsible for managing materials, logistics and vendors as the primary point of contact.
- Construction Manager (wireless construction background) will resolve conflicts as necessary for project completion.
- Communicate clear directions to General Contractors per RFDS
- Consolidate construction reports and convey clear/accurate reporting to Project Managers
- Perform the primary role of single point of contact for the project team during all project phases.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- THREE TO FIVE (3-5) YEAR MANAGING CIVIL AND TOWER GENERAL CONTRACTORS BUILDING WIRELESS CELL SITES
- MUST HAVE WIRELESS CONSTRUCTION BACKGROUND.
- Oversee construction services: Telco, Basic Construction, EOM vendor equipment requirements, AC & DC Power, Towers, Lines and Antennas
- Basic understanding of OVERALL WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS (GSM AND UMTS)
- Must have site level scoping skill ability to read/UNDERSTAND AN RFDS, CREATE SCOPE OF WORK and communicate scope to General Contractor companies
- Must have ADVANCED LINES/ANTENNAS TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS TO ASSIST ALARM CLEAR
