Construction Manager

Client involved high voltage Substation & Transmission Line construction projects is looking for a Construction Manager to manage the construction efforts on T&D/Substation projects in New Jersey. You need 15 years of construction field experience supporting power generation, T&D or substation EPC projects and at least 5 years as a Construction Manager. Mob, demob, R&R and per diem provided

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provides overall administrative and technical direction for high voltage transmission line & substation construction projects
- Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
- You will be the main interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, union officials, subcontractors, etc
- Assist with the implementation of safety programs and provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required
- Report to the Project Manager and also have a small group of Superintendents reporting to you
- Work with Subcontractors daily to ensure that the project is constructed & documented in accordance with the project specifications, policies, detailed drawings & industry standards

REQUIREMENTS

- 15 years of construction field experience supporting power generation, T&D or substation EPC projects
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Manager or Project Manager on power generation, T&D or substation EPC projects
- A BS degree would be considered a PLUS
- Specific experience involved in the construction of high voltage (345kV, 500kV or higher) substations, underground T-Line or overhead transmission line construction projects is needed
