Construction Manager

An engineering and construction client has an immediate need for a Construction Manager on a military installation in the Ft. Polk, LA, area. This is a 22 month CONTRACT position, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates only. No per diem is available for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinate all communications between the contractor and government team
- Provide daily inspection and oversight of the contractor's work in accordance with government design drawings, specifications and criteria and national, state and local codes, regulations and authorities
- Process and route RFI's, Submittals, and change orders
- Daily construction observations and inspection for quality assurance and compliance

REQUIREMENTS

- BS Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering with 5+ years of practical field experience in project management, or contract administration. An additional 5 years of experience may reduce the degree requirement
- Experience with Construction in a DoD or Federal Government
- Commissary / Grocery Store construction experience
- Experience in vertical and horizontal processes and coordination of multiple consultants is a must
- Experience with "design build" construction management processes and coordination of multiple consultants is strongly preferred
- Well versed in CPM scheduling and RS Means electronic estimating procedures
