Construction Assurance & Testing Supervisor

Role Summary:

Responsible for assurance handover of constructed sites from client contractor and ensuring post installation commissioning and testing of new docking stations completes to programme and any defects are addressed and closed out in timescales required.

Principle Duties and Accountabilities:

Main duties and responsibilities for the role include:

Main Accountabilities:

- Act as the key focal point for ensuring the quality of the constructed sites are acceptable and will allow Serco to commence installation works
- Ensure successful post installation commissioning and testing (both internal and with client) and management of the handover process from Sub Contractor to Serco and Serco to client and live operations

Main Responsibilities:

- Liaison with client to support post construction / pre installation on site assurance visits to confirm ready for installation works to commence, including
- Confirm that all sites constructed are in accordance with approved Planning Conditions
- All Ducts are installed with draw chords
- All draw cords are secured at each end and are freely moving in the ducts
- The Feeder Pillar is installed, has power to it and has the correct -cut out" fitted
- Anti-slip blanking plates are fitted and all bolts are installed
- Docks Aligned correctly with all fixing Bolts present
- All site materials are cleared
- All gradients within the site operational area are within accepted design tolerances
- All permanent Traffic Regulation Orders are in place
- All road markings are in place or are programmed to be in place prior to the installation date
- Monitor the commissioning and acceptance testing of each site and report on daily basis to on street project manager
- Ensure that any defects found in testing are addressed and resolved

Skills Required:

- Ability to work to own supervison
- Preferable Construciton / Mechanical background
- Previous client facing experience
- Exceptional People Management skills
- A willingness to develop and take on additional duties;
- Trustworthy, reliable and flexible
- Problem resolution skills
- Street works certificate desirable

Salary: £40000 - £45000 per annum + Pro Rata. Date posted: 02/07/2013
