Projektbeschreibung

Consents and Enviro Advisor required for main contractor on Cross Rail project in South East.

This is a contract role paying c.£350 per day for 3-6 months.

SCOPE

A leader who engages and inspires a team to deliver the environmental agenda supporting across multiple projects.

INTERFACES

- Safety & Sustainability CoE and partnering teams
- Contractors and specialist environmental suppliers
- Environment project contacts and Project managers
- Project Directors and Delivery Units.
- Local community and environment groups
- Statutory authorities within project locations

ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Ensure compliance with the EMS process across projects/DU and work closely with the CoE to ensure improvements are identified and implemented.

2. Ensure that all relevant consents and licences required for projects are in place and resolve any complexities and issues associated with obtaining these.

3. Provide assurance to project Directors/DU Directors on achievement of environmental targets, discussing and recommending action and improvements where required.

4. Drive innovation and good practice in environmental issues within projects, to support and enable efficiency and effectiveness within the project.

5. Ensure effective environmental training programmes are in place to ensure competence across all job roles within projects.

6. Create and implement management plans for all aspects of projects to evidence and enable progress to be monitored.

7. Represent specific projects at client project environmental forums and working groups in order to share best practice and feedback to teams.

8. Ensure consistency and co-ordination in the management of subcontractors and suppliers for contracts for specific environmental services which are BBR wide or linked to the BB Group Ensure consistency in the management of Environmental issues across all projects, by collaborating closely with Safety & Sustainability Partners who are specific projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A relevant degree of qualified by substantial relevant experience

Associate/Full member of IEMA

Knowledge of implementing EMS preferably to ISO 14001

Lead auditor trained

A well rounded knowledge of the management of all major environmental aspects and impacts as per the BBR A&I register
