ROLE: Configuration Manager
LOCATION: Zurich, Switzerland
DURATION: 3 to 6 months+ Extendable
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Build Engineer/Development Operations individual whose responsibilities include building and managing development and production environments Asset Management Business
- Solid experience in Perl, bash, Shell Script, Team city and subversion needed.
- Strong Linux administration/Windows Administration skills required with emphasis on continuous delivery and developer support.
- Responsible for the set-up, maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/integration infrastructure.
- Creating and maintaining fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments
- Writing build and deployment scripts and Managing the Application component Deployment across all environments.
- Supporting CI/CD tools integration/operations/change management, and maintenance. Support full automation of CI/Testing.
- Supporting policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and for work of developers.
- Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production. Required Skill Set:
- Agile Software Development and Management methods and ability to excel within an "Agile" environment
- Strong Linux skills, Windows Skills including Perl and bash and Shell Scripting
- Expertise with build automation tools - Jenkins, Teamcity
- Knowledge of source code control management systems and configuration management ( SVN) and code branching/merging strategies
- Experience with Open Source Repository Manager (Sonar etc.)
- Some experience with SQL and relational databases administration ( ie Oracle, MS SQL)
- Good understanding of Quality Control and Test Automation in Agile-based Continuous Integration environments
