Configuration Management Specialist - Subversion

Yoh has a SIX (6) MONTH CONTRACT opportunity for a CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST - OCS, SVN to join our client in DOWNTOWN HOUSTON, TEXAS.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work with multiple production and non-production environments involving various code bases - Java, PL/SQL, Unix Scripts.
- Develop, administer and implement Configuration management (CM) plans/procedures.
- REDESIGN (SIMPLIFY) CURRENT OCS (ONBOARD COMPUTING SUPPORT) SVN (SUBVERSION) STRUCTURE THE WAY WE WILL USE OUR CODE BASE (S) ACROSS MULTIPLE TEAMS.
- Define the versioning of OCS SOFTWARE RELEASES.
- Responsible for branching and tagging for the code base for any deployment.
- Helps developers during merges of code bases.
- Helps resolve any other issues related to SVN.
- Define any changes in the build process (if required).
- Work on change management for releasing (deploying) the software applications on various environments.
- Work with Development team/project manager to get the code base finalized and tagged.
- Create a Remedy change ticket with all details of the deployment steps.
- Get any approvals if necessary.
- Coordinate with Infrastructure teams to get the code built and deployed on the environment.
- Oversees the deployment for all environments.
- Maintain a run book for all OCS environments (Dev/Production/QA/CPV/Training) and keep it updated with the latest version deployed.
- Generate technical documents as needed.

Job Qualifications:
- At least seven (7) years of relevant work experience which includes configuration management responsibilities and supporting an environment with tasks of similar complexity, and technical difficulty.
- Should be an SVN EXPERT.
- Should have experience on multiple configuration management tools.
- Should be familiar with any of the build tools - maven, ant.
- UNIX Scripting experience is required.
- Should have worked with Agile methodologies in the past.
