Computer Based Training/Technical Writer

About the job:
We are looking for an experience Computer Based Training/Technical Writer with a background in in technical writing and also computer based training. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of writing technical manuals and handbooks. Although the tools in use are client specific, candidate must be a quick learning and able to adapt.

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:

- Create updates to current handbook - currently our client uses Framemaker and publish into various formats using Webworks
- Implement updates to training material - currently E-learning is interactive and designed using various tools hosted in a MZinga publisher container
- Create new training activities for interactive E-learning

REQUIREMENTS:

- Knowledge and experience with Framemaker 8
- Must be familiar with Snagit
- Comprehensive background in Technical Writing
- Strong core consulting skills - communication, organization and planning, work ethic, client facing and interpersonal skills.

What it's like to work here:
Writers must be able to quickly grasp customer methods and savvy enough to pick up a new tool fairly quickly. Candidate must be comfortable with "how to" documentation writing. This person will also be responsible for communicating with high level employees and training employees on using new manuals and applications. START DATE : 10-8-12

END DATE: 12-21-12

LOCATION: Arlington, TX

HOURS : Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

PAY RATE: $50-52/hr

It is required that all contractors complete a background check and drug screen report. They must pass a drug screen with a positive clearance and the background check without the following convictions on their record.
