The Computational Research Scientist participates in method development, data analysis, statistical analysis, experimental and analytical design, and data management. Uses existing tools and creates new pipelines to analyze single-cell genomics data. Participates in developing strategies and pipelines to model tumor evolution. Designs appropriate confirmatory wet lab experiments. Participates in collaborative research within the lab, department, and institution and communicates and discusses the analytical process and results with the collaborating investigators. Assists in preparing and submitting manuscripts for publication. Contributes ideas to automate or improve existing analysis methods within the lab and department. Assists with establishing and documenting protocols or best practices for common research tasks.
