Composite CATIA V5 Design Engineer - Aerospace, Automotive

An expert Composite Mechanical Design Engineer with Catia V5 experience is required by a specialist company designing and manufacturing composite components for the aerospace and automotive industries.

Directly supporting the Mechanical Design Team Leader, the responsibilities of this role will encompass the full range of Mechanical Design activities necessary to support the development of high technology composite components for the aerospace industry.

The candidate shall have a design engineering background in the composites industry and ideally have experience of the design and/or stress analysis of composite components:
* Education to HND/Degree level in mechanical or aerospace engineering not a essential.
* Excellent communicator with ability to engage with confidence at all levels
* Proficient in the use of CATIA V5 and FE tools (ideal)
* Demonstrated competence in Industry in the design/analysis of fibre reinforced composite materials.

Preferred experience:
* CPD/Fibresim
* Familiar with military and civil certification requirements for aircraft structures, systems or components.
* Generation of detailed manufacturing drawings, test specification and reports.
* Knowledge of manufacturing techniques for fibre reinforced plastic and thermoplastic materials.
* Knowledge and experience of CPD analysis.
