Component Technician Job

COMPONENT TECHNICIAN is needed for a cONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in WICHITA, KS.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Performs technical/mechanical functions pertaining to the aircraft component overhaul process.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Must be familiar with all shop equipment operations and its maintenance and able to work with little or no supervision.
- Performs disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components according to customer's specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers' CMM guidelines and operating procedures.
- Maintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned.
- Completes necessary related documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintains proper segregation and identification of components in progress.
- Performs final product preparation of units to be shipped

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Mechanical aptitude.
- Must have the ability to multitask.
- Requires the ability to understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical documents.
- Must be able to write descriptive statements concerning the condition of the assemblies being worked on.
- Must be able to articulate and understand verbal and written instructions.
- One (1) year mechanical experience and ability to attain required operating certifications.
- Ability to work as a team member
- Preferred qualifications: production line experience
- Working Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday - Friday - OT as needed and maybe some Saturdays. Do not see more than a total of 10 hours OT per week.
- This is a six (6) month contract, paying $12 - $13 per hour.
