Component Engineer - Essex - £negotiable DOE - 6-12months+

My client has an urgent requirement for a COMPONENT ENGINEER (CONTRACTOR)

Location: ESSEX

Rate: £NEGOTIABLE (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: CONTRACT

As a Component Engineer you will be responsible for design, development, sign-off and release of Large and Medium engine components into production.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

* KNOWLEDGE OF STRUCTURAL BASE ENGINE COMPONENTS (CYLINDER HEAD/BLOCK, PISTONS, CRANKS, LUBRICATION SYSTEM ETC)

* Experience working design through to manufacture and testing developments

* Experience working with suppliers

* FMEA's

* Working with CAD Engineers

* Engineering Degree, 2:1 or above

SKILLS PREFERRED:

* High degree of self-motivation, initiative, flexibility & good communication skills

BENEFICIAL BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

* Knowledge of tools such as CLNs, DVPSOR, GPDS, PTRP/Integrator, WERS, Change Control Process etc Education Required
