Compliance Officer - Advisory

This firm require a new Compliance advisor to provide policy and advisory services to the broking desks.

This will be a 6 month contract, and the responsibilities will include:
* Maintain and foster a close relationship with the business senior management and desk heads to ensure a two-way flow of information to foster compliance culture, a proper understanding of compliance issues, and ensure adequate controls are in place to mitigate risk
* Remain informed of changes to the regulatory environment and in conjunction with the wider compliance management team, assess the impact of such change upon the relevant areas of the business

* To liaise with all internal control functions to lead in the resolution and closing of outstanding monitoring, investigation or other control findings
* Lead and/or participate in relevant projects providing compliance input as necessary

Key Skills/Experience required:
* Previous compliance advisory experience at a wholesale financial services firm
* Strong product understanding across a broad range of asset classes including Equities, FX and commodities
* Knowledge of Exchange rules e.g. LSE, LIFFE etc

* Ability to address both the regulatory and business requirements of a project or situation.
* Able to design and deliver compliance training which is appropriate for the audience.
* Appropriate professional/industry qualification.

* Experience of working with Senior Management and regulatory bodies is required

Location: City ofLondon

Salary: £500 - £600 per day
