Compliance & Governance Consultant - Retail Technology

An exciting opportunity to cover maternity leave within Barclaycard's Governance and Control department.

As Compliance and Governance Consultant you will be responsible for ensuring timely resolution of technical scheme compliance issues in order to ensure that Barclaycard avoid fines and Point of Sale merchants adhere to company policy.

You will work with our merchants, their vendors and the internal teams within the business to analyse compliance issues within our technical schemes. By managing and owning stakeholder communications you will set expectations and provide a level of customer satisfaction. You will work with the Compliance and Governance Assistant to ensure that Retail technology adhere to company policies and procedures and pass audit requirements.

What you'll need
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written as it is imperative when dealing with internal/external customers and Management
* Good analytical skills with exceptional planning and organisational
* Ability to learn new skills and maintain existing high skill sets through monitoring standards and technical changes
* An understanding of the merchant Implementation and Accreditation process as well as an understanding of he Scheme rules, APACS standards and EMV standards.
* You will need a technical understanding of chip card/terminal interaction and an understanding of Global Payment Acceptance authorisation and settlement systems.
