A Compliance Director is required to advise on the impacts of MIFID II for an independent asset management house here in the City. Do not take them being independent as a sign that they do not have a large market presence, they have over 760 employees worldwide and cover a variety of investment solutions, equities being their main strategy.
The Compliance Director will need to advise on how MIFID II will effect how they distribute products and reward their advisers (with a staff level as high as theirs this will be a tough task). It goes without saying that the Compliance Director will need to possess a keen knowledge of MIFID II and previous experience of GAP Analysis and advising on regulatory change within Fund Management.
