Compliance Advisory Officer

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Allegis Global Solutions are the onsite recruitment partner at RBS and manage all contract and temporary opportunities for RBS M&IB (Markets and International Banking).

We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Compliance Advisory Officer to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Compliance Advisory Officer, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.

The role's key purpose is to support and advise Markets and International Bank's AML Compliance stakeholders on the Group Financial Crime policies and divisional procedures.

ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS:

You will be supporting the identification and escalation of regulatory or policy breaches related to financial crime, identifying and assisting in the resolution of risk relevant events for key stakeholders and regulators, helping with the provision (within the business area) of AML Management Information to stakeholders.

COMPETENCIES:

You will have previous experience in Compliance Advisory role in investment or corporate banking or management consultancies.

Further requirements are as follows:

- Knowledge of fines/breaches that have occurred in the Banking sector,
- In depth knowledge of KYC procedures and enhanced due diligence
- Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks for Financial Crime
- Clarity on how policies are implemented and some of the challenges faced in their implementation
- Understanding what constitutes a breach
- Ability to handle identification and resolution of potential risks
- Identification of changes required to manage risks
