Compensation Manager Job

COMPENSATION MANAGER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CAMBRIDGE, MA.

THE BIG PICTURE:

- Compensation Manager to support our research efforts in the United States and with our partners globally. As a member of our Human Resources team, you will partner closely with HR Partners and Staffing to work through various compensation related activities such as annual compensation review, position evaluations and offer approvals.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Experience in academic technology transfer or the pharmaceutical/biotech arena.
- Reviewing and drafting simple legal contracts and an awareness of the associated legal issues (eg data use/ownership, intellectual property rights, etc.) is preferred.
- Experience in high volume activities in large, complex Matrix organizations.
- Interaction with third parties, ie Academia, Scientific Institutions, and Technology Transfer Departments is preferred.
- Excellence in execution of operational processes, as well as individual/team workload prioritization and time management are required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required. Additional foreign language skills (eg, German, French) are a plus.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- The preferred background is a BS degree and seven (7+) of relevant experience in a C&B HR role, preferably in a biotech or pharma research organization
- Must be articulate, collaborative and able to work in both a "big picture" mode and with great accuracy and attention to complex detail
- Must be comfortable working with a quickly changing environment and using good judgment to solve complex problems. Must be client-focused and results-driven
- Good Compensation & Benefits specialist HR role experience covering all aspects of C&B
- Good project management skills: planning, prioritization, problem solving, organizational, reporting, presenting to all levels of an organization
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required. Additional foreign language skills (eg, German, French) are a plus.
- Advanced computer and database skills are required.
- A familiarity with the drug development process is a plus
- Background in business administration, legal or a scientific discipline is preferred
