Are you active in the community? Do you volunteer? We have an opportunity for a Streets Ahead Community Worker within the Kursaal Ward. You will be part of a great team working together to improve lives the lives of families & communities.

Work with communities and community members to enable them to:

- Help your community identify community issues, needs and problems
- Help your community identify opportunities, plan what they want to achieve, and take appropriate action
- Develop activities to improve their lives, such as community led activities with a particular focus on the lives of families facing difficulties within your community
- Link families in your community who need early help into the wide range of early support available to prevent their needs escalating
- Network and build contacts in order to help develop what is needed in the area and what families need
- Identify local issues that are important to your community and opportunities to support local partners work with families involved with the Streets Ahead programme
- Work with professionals and other volunteers who have a similar role in the community (such as Neighbourhood Wardens, community organisers etc)
- Encourage all people in the community to take ownership of the programme, develop future activities and to become further engaged with making their local area thrive and be a good place to live
