Communications Coordinator

For our life-science client based in Basel we are looking for a:

Communications Coordinator

Key responsibilities:

* Proivide daily media reports for a large associate population and targeted summaries for executives. Provide 'special reports' for annual and quarterly results, major M&A and other events with high media interest.

* Conduct digital and social monitoring and listening using Social Studio and other tools. Produce routine and ad-hoc summaries and reports as required.

* Coordinate routine analytical reports provided by an external agency.

* Maintain and develop Real Time broadcast (TV and radio) monitoring capabilities.

* Serve as a monitoring expert, developing an in-depth understanding of tools, licensing restrictions, emerging trends and new technologies. Provide monitoring advice to Divisional, Functional and Country communications teams.

* Other reasonable tasks in support of the Group External Communications function as required.

Position requirements:

* University degree in Communications or related field, and/or minimum of two years experience in monitoring, communications and/or project management.

* Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills in English and German. Additional languages, especially French and Italian, desirable.

* Knowledge of the global and Swiss media outlets include print, online, news wires and broadcast.

* Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining an outgoing, friendly, 'can-do' attitude.

* Effective in a changing, fast-paced and diverse work environment.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion and professionalism.

* Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-skilled team. Flexible and available to work out of hours if required.

* Knowledge of social media platforms and emerging trends.

* Proficient user of Microsoft applications and databases, SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat.
