COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT

I am recruiting for a Communications Consultant to work for one of my Healthcare clients based in London.

THE ROLE

You will take a leading role in how the organisation communicates with patients, clinics, staff and other interested groups such as Media and local politicians.

DUTIES

- Leading, supporting and mentoring the communications team.
- Developing and implementing the organisation's integrated communications strategy.
- Developing and maintaining corporate style and brand guidelines.
- Copywriting, proofreading, editing and project managing of publications (eg the Annual Report and high profile public consultation documents, newsletters and e-newsletters).
- Managing the production of both print and digital communications.
- Providing communications guidance and advice to staff at all levels.
- Maintaining and updating website and Intranet content using a content management system.
- Developing key messaging to support the media function.

SKILLS REQUIRED

- Educated to a degree level or equivalent and/or extensive experience in a business focussed marketting and communication environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong business and customer focus developed in a progressive and challenging environment
- Proficient in writing and delivering communication and stakeholder engagement strategy and plan
- Experience of working in a Healthcare environment and preparing briefing and submission documents for clinics, senior stakeholders is and advantage
- Good understanding and experience of applying effective employee engagement approaches, techniques and tools

Candidates with Healthcare experience will be highly desirable.
