Commodity Manager 4-1 Job

COMMODITY MANAGER 4-1 needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in RODCHESTER, NEW YORK.

- Monitor current commodity market conditions/trends
- Management Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity cost

- Performs analyses on vendor managed inventories

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Lead collaborative multi-region/plant/division, cross-functional commodity teams to analyze spend.
- Develops and implements spend management strategies and manages the supply base within a given commodity.
- Understand and monitor current commodity market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges.
- Guide the selection, development, and management of Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity cost and performance goals.
- Performs supplier assessments and rationalization, negotiations for best total cost of ownership and make vs. buy analyses.
- Performs analyses on vendor managed inventories, inventory reduction programs, cycle time improvements, security of supply, supplier diversity, continuous improvement, EDI, and procurement/engineering collaboration.
- Develop, implement and manage proposal activities. Lead negotiation and completion of contracts with global strategic and preferred suppliers to maximize benefits across the client and its affiliates

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interface internally and with Suppliers at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent presentation skills. Candidate will be asked to present on a regular basis and create their own content.
- Good excel skills and ability to track progress to goals.
- Zero to two (0-2) years with MS/MA/MBA (Masters)
- Three (3)+ years with BS/BA (Bachelors)
- Seven (7)+ years with two (2) years post Secondary/AAAS Degree
