Commercial Manager

I looking to hire a "COMMERCIAL MANAGER" with of our government client based in Bristol. Role Spec below. Many thanks.

CONTRACT: 6 MONTHS (WITH POSSIBLE EXTENSION)

RATE: UPTO £335 PER DAY

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

- Ability to build professional and effective relationships quickly, noting that existing relationships with key suppliers can be very challenging
- Price and cost analysis of tenders/bids/proposals to ensure Value for Money is delivered
- Knowledge of EU procurement regulations, particularly around Single-Source vs competitive procurement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Both Sentry and Sentinel have established programmes of modifications which require substantial commercial work to get on contract and then manage. Existing single-source relationships with two key suppliers provide both challenge and opportunity to improve how we deliver a requirement, and to what degree of value for money.
- The PT is broadly taking a pan-platform' approach to Safety and airworthiness requirements, which also requires significant commercial work; this time in helping translate requirements into Tender packs. These requirements typically involve competition rather than single-source procurement.

DESIRABLE: (NOT MANDATORY)

- Previous departmental experience is preferred, as described above.
- Experience on medium to high value single source projects highly desirable.
- Also desirable is experience in letting low-medium value competitive contracts.
