Commercial Lead

Our renowned client is looking for a Commercial Lead to work on an initial 6 month contract basis in Canary Wharf, Central London.

The position will include the following responsibilities:

- Operating effective commercial governance with stakeholders and vendors
- Engagement of senior management, through operational governance processes, to ensure support for negotiation strategies with key vendors
- Negotiation with networks vendors to effect high quality contracts into the organisation on the best possible commercial & legal terms with appropriate Service Level Agreements
- Ensuring that costs are kept to a minimum by proactively pursuing best possible pricing and savings initiatives
- Liaison with, and providing support to, internal staff on relationships with network vendors.
- Interfacing with stakeholders to ensure effective relationships are maintained between vendors & Thomson Reuters.

The suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

- Must have at least five years demonstrable experience in negotiation and commercial management of contracts with significant spend.
- Extensive enterprise level vendor management knowledge.
- Experience of working with network connectivity vendors preferred but not essential
- Confident and experienced in dealing with disputes and issues, working with vendors and creating pragmatic commercial solutions to business requirements
- Excellent negotiator and stakeholder management capability
- Creative and detail oriented with sound planning and organisational skills
- Self-motivated, dynamic and able to work with minimal supervision and capable of working in a fast pace environment with the ability to react quickly and prioritise deadlines.
- Works with other functional teams to ensure that optimal commercial and contractual outcomes are achieved on behalf of the business.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Institute of Purchase & Supply Qualification (CIPS) (Desirable)

Pay rate: £290.00 - £330.00 per/day Ltd.
