Coldfusion Developer and Visual Basic Developer - 6 Month Contract

A wonderful opportunity for an experienced Coldfusion Developer and Visual Basic Developer to join a large Government department for 6 months.

- 6 MONTH CONTRACT
- GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT

APPLICANTS MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

- Extensive experience in analysis and design, development, enhancement, support and maintenance of ColdFusion and/or Visual Basic based applications;
- Good understanding of Oracle 10g or higher;
- Practical experience in PL/SQL, stored procedures, packages and functions;
- Demonstrated understanding of coding practices;
- Ability to provide detailed development effort estimates to business areas for system request changes and development of new components;
- Ability to work as part of a team and under the direction of a team leader; and
- A high level of inter-personal and communication skills including a demonstrated ability to liaise with business clients in a friendly and open manner.

DESIRABLE

- JIRA or similar issues management system;
- Production support experience; and
- Ability to mentor and transfer skills to staff as appropriate.

WEIGHTED CRITERIA

DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE IN:

- Analysis and design, development, enhancement, support and maintenance of ColdFusion and/or Visual Basic based applications;
- Strong SQL with preference for Oracle 10g or higher;
- Good oral and written communication skills; and
- Effective teamwork skills including taking direction from the Team Leader and managing work priorities to achieve personal and team deliverables.
