Cobol Developer - French

COBOL DEVELOPER/TESTER - FRENCH SPEAKING

One of my clients is looking for a Cobol Developer/Tester to assist their clients migration away from an old language to new, YOU WILL BE BASED IN BELGIUM FOR THE FIRST FEW MONTHS AND THE 4-5 DAYS A WEEK IN PARIS , this is a 3 year project starting in March 2016 paying €500pd plus flight and accommodation.

To expedite the delivery of a migration project from Natural/ADABAS on IBM z/OS to Cobol/DB2 on IBM z/OS for one of our clients, we are looking for a Cobol test engineer on Mainframe for my clients office in Kontich and the client's office in Paris as from 1 April 2016.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main responsibility is to:

- Prepare automated tests;
- Run automated tests;
- Analyze test reports, and perform root cause analysis;
- Custom developments (typically Scripting) for the ongoing project;
- Following testing, either create and follow-up on issue reports with our Development team or provide a solution directly within our Migration Factory;
- Continuously provide feedback to our Development team on possible enhancements;
- Go on-site in Paris when required amongst others during testing and deployment;

In this role you work closely together with our Factory Manager and Project Manager.

JOB PROFILE:

Requirements:

- Knowledge of and experience in developing and/or testing Cobol on Mainframe;
- Knowledge of and experience in Scripting languages (eg Python or Perl);
- Knowledge of and experience with DB2;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
