CMM Operator/Quality Inspector Job

CMM OPERATOR/QC INSPECTOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Palm Bay, FL.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Critical - Technical ability and solid experience one (1) year plus in programming and usage of a CMM machine (PC-DIMS)
- Candidate must be self-starter and practice excellent customer service.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform detailed inspection to drawings and specifications for Mechanical components, Electrical, and Mil-Specification product in Supplier Quality Receiving Inspection to support all of company's commercial and government programs.
- Must be able to work 1st shift with occasional overtime; hours are 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Complex Mechanical inspections utilizing inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, surface plate, height gages, and OGP/optical coordinate machine) and GD&T on engineering drawings, Cable inspection to IPC-620, Mil-Specification inspection.
- Technical ability to expand knowledge and skill set with CMM programming/operating.
- Able to multi-task, work independently, and in team environments.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six (6) years of related experience required.
- Complex Mechanical inspection experience to support inspection of complex mechanical drawings utilizing GD&T is required.
- Must have a working knowledge of IPC and Mil-Specification requirements and Mechanical GD&T in order to support receiving inspection of all product at GCSD.
- Certifications required in inspection of soldering and cabling workmanship, ESD, bonding, and High Reliability.
- Computer skills required.
- Must be able to work overtime when required, including weekends, on short notice and for possible long durations to support internal customer contractual delivery schedules
- Excellent Communication skills both oral and written.
- Understanding of Quality concepts ie total quality and continuous improvement, Six Sigma.
- Strong people skills, ability to be tactful under stressful conditions.
- Must be flexible to changing needs and priorities.
