Cloud Systems Engineer - Senior

CLOUD SYSTEMS ENGINEER NEEDED

The main function of a CLOUD SYSTEMS ENGINEER is to install, configure, and support an organization's local hadoop/hive/cassandra systems, configure Openstack and Salt, design and configure network and research alternative cloud solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associate's degree in computer related field required, Bachelor of Computer Science preferred
- Senior level - 8 years' experience required
- Basic ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements (required)
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software (required)
- Expert knowledge of Hadoop/Hive/Cassandra
- Knowledge of ZMQ or Rabbit MQ
- Knowledge of Memcache or REDIS
- Expert knowledge puppet, chef, salt
- Knowledge HDFS, JAVA, Python
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time

This contract position is expected to be 12 months in duration.
