Cloud Support Engineer

SECURITY CLEARED CLOUD SUPPORT ENGINEER required for government organisation based in Buckinghamshire, Home Counties, South East.

DUE TO THE URGENT START CANDIDATES MUST HOLD CURRENT SECURITY CLEARANCE TO SC LEVEL

Required to support and maintain the clients virtualised environments and cloud platform. Provide skills transfer and development of clients employees to eventually hand over the role.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE OF UNIFIED STORAGE CONFIGURATION - NETAPP (VARIOUS MODELS), vFiler DR and MetroCluster, OnTap 8.1 and upgrade, Snap Drive, On Command, DRS (within VMware), Capacity Management

Provisioning storage for Virtualised solutions, including VMWare and Hyper-V

KNOWLEDGE OF, MANAGING VIRTUAL MACHINES WITHIN SHARED MULTI-CLIENT PLATFORMS, INCLUDING:- Windows-based OS (2008 and 2012, Understanding of NFS, Fibre Channel, NDMP and iSCSI, Active Directory

Experience of installing, configuring and managing various tools to manage and monitor virtual environments.

Hardware installation, configuration and management, including Blade Technology (HP and UCS)

The ability to work within a team but also individually.Ability to work within process (knowledge of change control process)
