Cloud Network & Security Engineer Job

CLOUD NETWORK & SECURITY ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Herndon, VA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Functions as a consultant to other Infrastructure groups as Network Infrastructure & Security expert.
- Forecasts system capacity needs, prioritizes work based on departmental priorities and system criticality, functions as an inter/intra-group liaison, performs complex analysis, proactively identifies problems and makes recommendations regarding solutions, and maintains responsibility for end-user (customer) satisfaction.
- Proactively monitor, test, collect and analyze system performance statistical data to improve quality & ensure optimal performance of all Storage environments.
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems, design, configuration, support and processes.
- Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and bottleneck issues within a complex applicationBasic Scripting: Perl, Python, Shell
- Infrastructure and Orchestration/Automation Experience preferred: Puppet, Chef, Cisco UCSDhandle multiple tasks
- Certification such as CCNP, CCSP, CCDP or CCIE R&S/Security written
- Expert with Cisco Line of Products, with focus on UCS, 1000v, N7K/5K & N9K, FabricPath, VXLAN, VPC, VRF, VDC and Spline/Leaf designs
- F5 TMOS operating system (with a focus on Viprion product line and advanced iRule configurations).
- Expertise experience with Linux platforms like Suse, RedHat or CentOS
- Experience with tools like Nagios, Splunk, Spectrum, MRTG, NetFlow
- Advanced experience with enterprise and data center security policy design and deployment.
- Excellent communication skills and the proven ability to work effectively with all levels of IT and business management.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or any other field or equivalent experience in Information Security, Information Technology, or related technical discipline
