Cloud Migration Engineer

Senior Cloud Migration Engineer required to asses a global end user firms applications and make them ready for cloud migration. Long term contract, excellent rates, work for a global end user firm in New Jersey.

Duties:
*Asses the firms current applications in order to determine whether cloud migration is feasible (involving data collection)
*Collaborate with Solutions Architect's and SME's to establish application development and transformation standards
*Actively identify which applications will require re-design or re-architect before cloud migration is possible
*Set guidance in order to move forward
*Asses the different migration tools
*Develop the different application transformation/migration principles and standards
*Participate in the migration POC for selected applications to the target environments
*Identify and test the different support operational tools for application monitoring (performance, availability, security)

Skills Required:
*Extensive knowledge and understanding of the cloud computing arena
*Strong knowledge of systems architecture for both public and private cloud
*Proven history working with cloud services
*7+ years' experience working with .NET applications, Windows OS, SQL Server, Microsoft SharePoint, Web Service Technologies, Authentication and Federation services, Web Security disciplines
*Extensive knowledge of and experience in application design in order to effectively leverage cloud infrastructure
*Proven experience with the application integration strategy
*Demonstrated experience transforming and migrating applications to the cloud
*Experience setting up operational and monitoring procedures in the cloud environment
*Strong ability preparing presentation materials and communicating with technical teams and business users/stakeholders
*Willingness to travel when required
