CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT

CONTRACT POSITION

€650-€800 PER DAY

This leading international IT consultancy and provider is a key player in the emerging Cloud market. With specialisations across all aspects of cloud infrastructure including consultation, design and implementation and management services, this business works with some of the globe's biggest brands as well as local SME's.

An opportunity has become available for a highly experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join this business in a consulting and development based capacity. To be successful in this role you will be a switched on and driven individual who enjoys a challenging role. This team based environment will also see you working closely with your colleagues to ensure client and business targets and deadlines are met.

TECHNICALLY YOU WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING;

- 10+ years of experience designing and supporting large scale environment with a mixture of Linux and Windows operating systems
- 5+ years of experience automating systems administration tasks using bash, Perl, Python, or PowerShell
- 3+ years of experience designing and supporting production storage and backup infrastructure
- Infrastructure Solutions design experience for clients
- Technical knowledge of solution offerings around on-premise and cloud solutions (Microsoft Office 365 -Azure, Google Apps, Rackspace, Cloud Plus and AWS (Amazon).
- Experience in developing Hybrid and Community Cloud required
- Infrastructure Solutions design experience for clients
- Broad understanding of relevant and emerging IT technologies and solutions
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

To be successful in this position you will possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to liaise heavily with senior external and internal stakeholders. You will be required to deliver presentations and market information therefore your presentation skills coupled with your engaging manner will see you excel. Furthermore, your ability to work successfully as part of a team will also see you meet project deadlines. Also required for this role are the following skills:

- Demonstrate ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues
- Ability to follow and adhere to policies, procedures and standards relating to network and systems management
- Prepare detailed build/test plans to implement new technologies and configurations
- Deliver presentations and tech-talks to both internal and external customers
- Ability to collaborate with a team working across multiple locations

EDUCATION:
BACHELOR\'S DEGREE OR EQUIVALENT IN COMPUTER SCIENCE
