CLOUD DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

For our prestigious client, we are currently looking for a Cloud development specialist:

The candidate must have skills and experience in the following areas:

- ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN:
- The ability to evaluate technologies
- Create, adapt and discuss a high level technical architecture given many uncertainties
- Define API's and integration points
- Design for scalability
- SERVER DEVELOPMENT SKILLS
- Java
- NoSQL distributed databases (eg DynamoDB, Cassandra)
- Other technologies: OAuth, REST
- It is vital to have both architectural and development skills.
- QUALITY & PROCESS
- Clean coding skills
- Excellent unit and system testing skills
- Experience with version control systems (git, github)
- Experience with continuous integration process and tools
- Knowledge of/experience with the following is an added advantage:
- BIG DATA AND IOT technologies
- AWS
- Android
- Python
- SCALA

Apart from these pure technical skills, the candidate should possess:

- The ability to work independently and pro-actively.
- Experience working in an agile environment, acquainted with the SCRUM project life cycle
- A strong quality orientation, combined with a pragmatic attitude
- Strong command of English
- Good communication and writing skills

The aim of the project is to pro-actively build a new cloud IoT service, working within an international distributed environment.
