Cloud Architect

Urgently seeking a senior Cloud Architect with a breadth and depth of experience deploying enterprise solutions across a number of cloud technologies. The successful candidate will join the Technical Architecture team working on technical Cloud strategy, the implementation of new SOA based product offerings and aiding with the evolution of existing product offerings.The successful candidate must have demonstrable success and experience in delivering Cloud services end-to-end, from requirements gathering and design, through to launch and on-going maintenance and have a strong infrastructure background. A solid understanding of Public and Private Cloud (both IaaS and PaaS) offerings, integration of hybrid Cloud solutions, data and application security in those environments, HTTP/REST/SOA and distributed storage are a must. The successful candidate will oversee the design and implementation of large-scale infrastructure solutions by our development teams.
Key Themes and Responsibilities will be:
Strategy
In conjunction with other regional leads, define and publish the Cloud Architecture Strategy for aligning business capabilities & technology to achieve long-term Global Operations objectives;Steer investment decisions by providing business case definition expertise to support the overall business strategy;Advise senior and executive management on technical impacts and decisions impacting the strategy;
Architecture Roadmap
Develop the cloud architecture vision, develop and maintain the current and future state Cloud Architecture across the business units and geographies; Develop and maintain roadmaps for strategic components and where appropriate drive major technical change and initiating continuous improvement projects and roll into the architecture roadmap.
Design Authority
Key member of the Technical Design Authority; Own and publish Cloud Architecture principles and strongly promote and advocate among peers and leaders;Design and maintain global design patterns, best practice and standards; Ensure all Architectural and High Level Designs adhere to Enterprise Architecture principles and standards;
Leadership;
Provide advice to senior management and leadership team on technology issues, trends, and leading practices to positively influence IT strategy and processes. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; (Ideally) Professional Architectural Certification (TOGAF, Zachman or similar); At least 7 years IT experience in an infrastructure support and architecture role, or equivalent consulting experience working on service orientated solutions; A strong understanding of infrastructure architecture principles; Plus a fundamental understanding of the software development lifecycle;
