CLINICAL AUDITOR - ANTRIM

Fixed Term Contract - 32K
Monday to Friday (9.00am-5.30pm)
Home Based - agile working

As a Clinical Auditor you will be a part of the Clinical Audit team, carrying out auditing of the functional assessment reports from the Disability Assessors.
Training will be carried out in our Birmingham office over a period of days and completion of training will be once competency has been achieved.

The PIP contract requires a high degree of clinical audit stringency to meet the requirements laid out in the DWP's PIP Guidance document. This requires Health Care Professionals working on PIP to have 100% of reports audited until Full Approval is given by the DWP.

THE JOB ROLE

You will be required to adhere to strict guidelines and audit a volume of reports each day in accordance with agreed service level agreements.

Undertake clinical audit of PIP assessment reports with reference to defined DWP criteria.

Provide constructive impartial recommendations to health professionals to ensure that amended reports are fit for purpose.

Support and mentor new auditors coming out of training.

Maintain requisite knowledge and skill level with regard to the PIP audit process.

Undergo internal audit ("check the checker") to ensure consistent high standard of audit reports.

Participate in other Capita directives or projects as required

Maintain and evidence personal CPD and ensure continued professional registration

Your audit will focus on ensuring that reports produced by Disability Assessors are of high quality both in terms of presentation and content and that all procedures have been followed and any advice or opinion is evidence-based and justified.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

You must be a Nurse (Level 1), Paramedic, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Doctor registered with the NMC/HCPC/GMC with a valid licence to practice in the UK and no sanctions
.
You must have 2 years post registration experience, however for exceptional candidates less experience will be considered.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Analyse and assess Disability Assessor reports against a clinical criteria, and additional clinical historical evidence.

Give impartial independent advice based on these findings; differentiate where there is need for improvements within the report and justify why.

Broad Clinical background covering both physical and mental health conditions in adults (16 - 64 years); experience creating functional reporting.

DESIRED SKILLS

You will have excellent written English and good verbal feedback skills.

You will have a strong eye for detail, have high levels of professional rigour and be able to work independently.

An understanding of supporting others to operate within a clinical governance frameworks and using this experience to make recommendations for improvements.

Good IT skills are also necessary as the process involves using bespoke IT systems.
