Clinical Analyst Essex

Clinical Analyst with experience of clinical documentation and PAS EPR (ideally Cerner) sought for a 10 month contract with an NHS Acute Trust Essex .

PERSON SPECIFICATION

*Knowledge of techniques for requirements capture and specification
*Experience coordinating the analysis work on a set of related projects
*Experience in working within Health environment
*In depth knowledge of health and relevant processes
*Applied expertise in a variety of software development methodologies
*Good communication skills including report writing
*Computer literate
*Good knowledge of all MS Products
*Proactive work ethic with the ability to deliver results and meet challenging deadlines
*Good analytical skills for spotting or anticipating weaknesses in processes (manual or system)
*Flexible and resilient
*Excellent team player

JOB PURPOSE

As part of the EPR team to ensure the development and implementation of the EPR supports and transforms working practice. To ensure that clinical benefit is a key driver throughout the process and to drive the clinical change management aspects. Responsible for all aspects of defining the business processes and system requirements. Working with SMEs and stakeholders, conducting analysis, producing detailed functional and non-functional requirements and facilitating the delivery of those requirements.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

EPR Design Phase
*Documentation of the business processes, requirements, benefits, risks and options.
*Functional and non-functional requirements gathering across all areas of the business using a variety of business analysis techniques.
*Analyse and build understanding of requirements.
*Produce detailed requirement definitions in the format agreed with configuration team and supplier
*Achieve sign off on business processes and requirements from key stakeholders.
*Contribute to project planning through the provision of estimates for analysis activities.
*Document mapping of As Is processes
*Document mapping of To Be processes
*Work with SMEs to close down any questions
*Support specification of reports
*Create and maintain documentation that serves as a knowledge base on products, processes, procedures and document templates.

Configuration Phase
*Working with configuration team to supply, review and inform configuration to ensure the system support the To Be Processes.
*Liaise with technical team to close down any questions on configuration
*Support information gathering to confirm required data sets/pick lists/error messages
*Document any gaps in functionality related to relevant release
*Adhere to and support the management of the data model
*Input to risk log

Test Phase
*Working with the Test team to inform development of test scripts
*Review of test scripts
*Participate in UAT
*Support UAT incident reporting

Support Phase
*Support go live - floor walking
*Identify, report and document any issues
