Clas Consultant

Background
Capita are recruiting for a CLAS consultant to join a central government client on a contract basis. This role is based in Central London. You will be working on Accreditation projects. The purpose of Accreditation is to provide an independent assessment that an information system meets its requirements and that the residual risks, in the context of the business requirement, are acceptable to the business. You will be required to. Act as an impartial assessor of the risks that an information system may be exposed to in the course of meeting the business requirement and to formally accredit that system. Ensure the accreditation process meets requirements For this department this covers a range of activities from simple networks to complex platforms, for example, an Aircraft carrier.

Skills and Experience Required
In order to facilitate the review of several hundred accreditation projects, the Programme Manager, will be required to:
Plan and meet regularly with officers and senior civil servants in for the identification and prioritisation of programmes involving active accreditation tasks.
Work with personnel enabling the prioritisation of accreditation tasks relating to prioritised programmes, enabling and facilitating the baselining of programmes through a detailed review and evaluation of active accreditation projects Act as the controlling mind during the review process, continually liaising with other departments, confirming results and empowering appropriate senior individuals Supporting the business, communicate and undertake full knowledge transfer with colleagues throughout Understand accreditation and the accreditation process; be comfortable within the technical environment of information systems Demonstrate aptitude in stakeholder engagement, professionalism and be able to deliver high quality outputs.
