Civil Engineer

I am looking to hire a CIVIL ENGINEER with my public sector client in IPSWICH location.

This is a Contract role till June 2015.

Will be part of a team of engineers operating with different levels of skills, backgrounds and responsibilities.

STRONG INTERPERSONAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Resolving problems or responding to complex enquiries
- Managing their own workload with limited supervision
- Liaising with internal and external customers
- Strong team player and able to support others through simple coaching/learning

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- HNC, HND, FdSc BSc or BEng in a Civil/Coastal Engineering or a building related subject, or suitable relevant years of experience
- Fresh graduates with education background acceptable
- Any practical experience in a engineering or construction related discipline - ideally design experience but if not then simple aptitude and willingness to learn a process that we can teach
- Any design and site experience
- good practical site experience advantageous but not essential
- Understanding and working knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Experience or ability to produce Pre-Construction Information (PCI) documentation
- Familiarity with technical drawings and ability to use AutoCAD 2007
- Knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
