Civil Designer

Our client in Southern California is looking for a Civil/Mechanical Designer with 7-10 years of AutoCAD-Civil 3D 2011 for an engineering firm specializing in civil public water/wastewater design projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop detailed drawings to comply with wastewater and local agency reviews, calculate quantities, areas, commensurate with civil engineering as well as prepare data for water system, sanitary sewer and storm water design

REQUIREMENTS

- 7-10 years of experience with AutoCAD - Civil 3D 2011 with an engineering firm specializing in civil public water/wastewater design projects
- Ability to develop mechanical layouts, such as motors, pumps, valves, and piping
- Prepare specifications and perform engineering calculations related to hydrology and hydraulics
- Design civil improvement plans with minimal guidance from the project manager
- Strong sense of attention to detail to ensure the professional appearance and design of the project is accurate and can be constructed without flaws
- Perform quality control of CAD work using necessary auditing tools in CAD as well as manual checking
