Citrix Engineer

For our client, a huge global consultancy company, we are looking for a Citrix Senior Engineer to work on a 3 month (possibly rolling) paying up to £425 a day contract based just off Holborn. Main responsibilities: * provide problem resolution for referred incidents from the Service Desk * ensure SLA targets are met at all times and collaboratively ensure team targets are met * ensure all changes to Production systems are planned and approved in accordance with the Change Management process * work with the Team to ensure all platform documentation is kept up to date at all times * provide substantial input into the development of Windows and Citrix processes, highlighting issues and providing recommendations for improvement * proactively monitor the IT support provided, looking for potential issues and highlighting them as appropriate * work with the Service Management team to identify and resolve problems in the infrastructure to reduce the occurrence of incidents/faults * assist in key IT and business projects; ensure that all projects are planned and implemented in line with standards and policies * provide on-call support as part of the on-call rotation The key skills required are: * experience in 3 /4 line support role * strong experience in supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 R2 * advanced Citrix XenApp knowledge * advanced Citrix XenDesktop knowledge * advanced knowledge of Appsense * good understanding of Citrix Netscaler * good understanding of VMware technologies * strong experience in Exchange 2010 * CCA or CCAA for Citrix XenApp and/or XenDesktop are desirable * Microsoft Clustering knowledge * VMware support and administration knowledge will be an asset * Windows PowerShell scripting experience is desired * ITIL v3 Foundation Certification will be an asset * large companies background This is an immediate requirement so please send your C.V to me ASAP if you have all the skills necessary for the role and can interview next week.
