Cisco Support Engineer - CCNA Required

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provides CISCO Tier 2 technical support and enterprise routing.
- Provides data network support on a customer account.
- Receives, owns, and resolves fault/outage events related to Cisco-based Contact Center platforms
- Performs installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of assigned products
- Receives and works trouble and change tickets according to specified time frames
- Applies diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures
- Provides data networking, planning, configuration and installation.
- Contributes to network planning and architecture as well as recommend networking solutions for business challenges with a strong emphasis on Firewall Skills.
- Attends meetings, conference calls, works with suppliers and customer on network problems/issues.

SKILLS

Must have valid Driver's license. Must have 5 years hands on experience with Cisco Firewalls, Routers and Switches. Required Certification: CCNA. Bachelor's degree in Engineering - CS/EE or equivalent experience needed. Must have 5-8 years of experience in CISCO technical support and 2-3 years experience in CISCO ICM, Cisco CVP, Cisco IOS, Cisco Call Manager, and Cisco TAC procedure. Expertise in Network Protocols such as TCP/IP, Frm Relay, etc, Routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc, Troubleshooting tools such as Telnet, SSH, Cisco Wireless LAN solution Engine, and Cisco TACACS required. Must have at least 5 years of experience on Firewall support. Familiarity with Cisco Firewall, Routers, and Switches is necessary. Strong communication skills are a must.
Experience in Cisco IPIVR/QM, Cisco UCCE Enterprise and Express, Cisco WIM/EIM, VXML and Studio, ACEM Session Border Controller is desired.
