My client requires an experienced Network Engineer to join theiir project.The role involves

The role will involve

INTERNAL END USER SUPPORT:

-

Provide one-on-one assistance for end-users.
-

Performing recurring support activities related to end-user workstations and software for both local and remote users.

Infrastructure support:
-

Maintain and troubleshoot both local area and wide area network links, including Firewall, remote access and VPN software and hardware.
-

Asset management of IT assets, including but not limited to: Servers, desktops, printers, Routers, Switches, phones and Firewalls.
-

Break-fix of both server and desktop hardware and software.
-

Perform software inventory, distribution, installation and licence management.
-

Provide technical and high level application support of in house and cloud based systems based on Linux and MS-Windows platforms.

BUSINESS SUPPORT:

-

Contribute to company business continuity planning and testing.
-

DR practice and execution
-

Perform facilities related tasks as appropriate.

DESIRED SKILLS:

-

Solid exposure to Microsoft server and Workstation platforms, Microsoft certification is desirable but not essential.
-

Linux/Mac administration experience.
-

Experience of Cisco LAN/WAN technologies.
-

Experience of Lotus Notes or similar GroupWare system.
-

Experience of supporting users in remote sites.
-

Must be able to deal effectively with external customers, supporting their needs as it pertains to DSI projects. Customer interaction may be on site or via phone and email only.
-

Flexibility to undertake new responsibilities without consultation.
-

Awareness and implementation experience of disaster recovery techniques.
