Cisco Network Engineer
6 month contract
Near Antwerp, Belgium
€55 per hour
Our client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team acting as the responsible for delivering our client's network solutions for projects, Service requests and WAN/LAN's. Our client is a global giant in their industry and offer brilliant opportunities for growing consultants to work in an excellent working environment alongside like minded professionals.
Requirements:
previous work experience within a global organization and has good communication skills
Both Dutch & English is required
Experience in placing circuit, hardware and software orders for projects and RFS's assigned to him and will ensure that security and quality (QA) requirements are met in all plans and actions.
Good technical expertise in load balancers (F5), Riverbed, Juniper is required
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
A minimum of 3+ years of broad IT infrastructure (network) experience, preferably in a large global organization is required.
Good technical expertise in Firewalls and TCPIP protocol is a plus.
Technical expertise in WAN Routers, Cisco Layer 2/3 Switches, IOS and CATOS, load balancers (F5), Riverbed, Juniper ., etc
Expertise in delivering network services for clients in various network architectures and in different parts of the world.
Experience with standard change management and configuration policies.
Experience developing and implementing short-term tactical efforts focused on providing observable, measurable improvements to infrastructure, end users, operational counterparts, and business partners.
Provide written and verbal communication such as procedures and documentation.
Deliver project solutions to specified requirements on schedule and within budget following appropriate IM methodologies.
Interface with suppliers and vendors to coordinate and complete network Requests for Service (RFS) recommendations.
Apply knowledge of industry and competitive environment in all facets of daily job functions.
Ensure that security is considered and emphasized in all IM plans and actions.
Knowledge of ITIL framework- certifications is a plus.
Must have good teamwork, communication/information sharing and influencing skills.
