CICS Systems Programmer

I am currently looking for an experienced CICS Systems Programmer to work on a 12 month extendable contract for a market leading client of mine in Johannesburg, South Africa.

DUTIES - - Responsible for providing day to day support and implementing changes to the client's environment. Project tasks range in complexity from standardized tasks that require
following
a set of repeatable steps to non-standard problems that require unique solutions.
- Processes for routine project work are created and improvements to the routine processes

may be identified and implemented. Pager coverage and off-shift coverage would be required.                                                                                                                                     
- MVS-Systems Programmer z/OS system programmer with min 2 years of experience.

Should have sound knowledge of SMP/E, JCLs, MVS concepts, JES, SDSF, Catalog Management etc. and knowledge of installing and supporting few commonly used ISV products.                                          
- Capable of Installing/upgrading CICS and related products on a Mainframe. Capable of

upgrading to new CICS transaction Servers, install/support commonly used products like Abendaid/CICS, XPEDITER/CICS, Interest/CICS etc. Maintain reliability, availability of CICS systems software.
- Good knowledge in usage of transactions like CEMT, CEDA etc., Perform troubleshooting

and provide 24X7 oncall support to the clients supported.      
- Support problem and change tickets for server support operations for work involving problem determination and implementation of changes to hardware, software, applications or network systems. These tasks are not standardized and require independent thought and problem solving to resolve. Interaction with other teams is often required to solve issues.
- Work to standardize repeatable tasks and steps across multiple accounts within a team

while providing coaching and mentoring to the junior team  
- Implement DBDC (CICS, DB2, or IMS) related product installs and upgrades without assistance.                                                     
- Implement DBDC (CICS, DB2, or IMS) security compliance corrections without assistance.                                                           
- At least 3 years experience in day-to-day CICS systems programming support                                                                    
- At least 3 years experience in install, troubleshoot, test, plan and configure CICS systems
