Children+families Social Worker- ART

Eden Brown are looking for 2 social workers to join the children and family team-Adolescent Response Team

You will need 2+ years qualification, statutory CIN experience essential, clear adolescent experience in mental health e.g. self harm/ eating disorders/overdoses etc experience desired but not essential.

1.To ensure families are safeguarded and maintained within statutory education and appropriate interventions are in place to achieve this.

2.To work collaboratively with other agencies delivering multi-agency integrated services: ‘Team around the Family'.

3.To work within statutory Initial and Core Assessments and also CAFs where appropriate to provide intervention programmes for families linking with key partnerships.

4.To act as a lead professional undertaking core and case management responsibility for coordinating team around the family interventions which address identified need.

5.To work in accordance with Borough safeguarding policies, to ensure that parents are fully award of our responsibility to safeguard and to follow all relevant legislation.

This team works with adolescents between the ages of 11- 18 years and their families, where a number of issues may be present,

-Homelessness and family breakdown issues
-Significant adolescent mental health, emotional and behavioural issues
-Engaged or at risk of engaging with crime
-Substance misuse issues
-Homelessness and family breakdown issues

There is scope for a longer contract/ permanent roles therefore commitment in a long term role will be of essence.
