Chemical Process Engineer I

Yoh has a long term contract opportunity for A CHEMICAL PROCESS ENGINEER I to join our client, a world leader in the pharmaceutical industry, located in Creve Coeur, MO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for the analytical development, definition and specification of the processes required to produce a particular chemical, fertilizer, etc.
- Develop fermentation, crystallization, chemical, etc.
- Responsible for the specification of the equipment required for the process.
- Process design calculations involving heat balances.
- Process computations including computer programs for absorbers, heat exchangers, crackers, etc.
- Involvement in the engineering design, cost estimate, construction, and operation of experimental laboratory scale systems to facilitate industrial chemical production process development and optimization.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS Chemical Engineering graduate with some mechanical inclination and experience.
- Chemical engineer with some experience in lab scale process equipment (ie, pumping, valves, reactors, vents, catalyst support, etc.).
