Quality Checker

To maintain competency through quality assurance of work;
* checking cases completed by team colleagues
* providing feedback and development
* giving expert technical support to the department in line with relevant product, procedural and regulatory requirements

The Quality Improvement Team (QIT) undertakes a number of roles to support the Quality function. The key aim is to help the business improve quality to enable consistent delivery of a fair customer outcome. The team provide targeted solutions, including the design and delivery of quality improvement initiatives, to ensure consistent quality checking across the site.

The QIT change and root cause analysis role provides root cause analysis across the business and manages all impact assessments for changes being implemented.

KEY OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* To support co-workers through checking and feedback, to assure quality of work, consistency and development of knowledge and capability.
* Act as a team mentor, being the first point of contact for technical query resolution and where appropriate, to arrange/provide appropriate training interventions.
* To provide pro-active technical support to the team/department - this should include identifying and driving initiatives to prevent quality issues from arising and taking full responsibility for the resolution of emerging quality issues (where these are unavoidable) in line with client/business requirements and best practice methodologies.
* To achieve and maintain full accreditation in line with set quality model/standards
* To achieve set targets in line with required quality standards, pro-actively reporting emerging issues
* Take responsibility for own learning and development, keeping up-to-date with all policy, procedural and regulatory developments, maintaining accreditation and making full use of available structured learning opportunities.
* Any other task deemed reasonable by your Manager
* To represent the team/department on cross functional projects as required - specific change and root cause analysis responsibilities include:
* Investigations into all fails in order to identify emerging trends, inconsistencies and training needs
* Liaise with SME resource to provide additional support to 'at risk' case handlers
* Highlight inconsistencies
* Provide narrative for site and Capita specific Glide Paths and business packs
* Maintain relationship with central RCA function
* Build up relationship with Change Team and Continuous Improvement Champions
* Maintain visibility of change log to understand what changes are in the pipeline
* Where possible complete impact assessments pro-actively rather than reactively
* Become a Go To person in Quality for all things change
