CBRN Clothing Project Manager

Background
Our Central Government Client is currently recruiting for a Project Manager for their 6 month contract based in Bristol. The role sits within the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Delivery Team (DT) who provide a wide range of CBRN protection equipment for the UK armed forces. The team manages equipment through the entire project life cycle, from initial concept to in-service and finally disposal.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing the initiation and conceptual development of a new procurement project with the aim of introducing a new range of CBRN protective clothing for the UK armed forces within the next 10 years. The position will work closely with DE&S staff into Land Equipment who manage existing in-service CBRN clothing to ensure that assumptions are understood, documented and agreed with the project sponsor and user repetitive. The position will develop the project schedule, risk register, TLMP, procurement strategy, MDAL and other associated documents in conjunction with key stakeholders (requirements managers, sponsor and user representative) to help develop the project during the Concept stage.

Outputs/Deliverables to be achieved
* SC Security Clearance (ideally you will hold valid SC already however you must be eligible to go through this level of clearance if you don't already hold it). APMP or Prince 2 qualification and related experience. Experience of developing and managing Through Life Management Plans. Experience of scheduling and competent in the use of Microsoft Project. Experience of Risk Management (including analysis) and competent in the use of Risk Management and analysis tools (eg Active Risk Manager, Predict Risk Analyser). Experience of assumptions management including the development and management of Master Data Assumptions Lists. Experience of stakeholder analysis and management including the coordination of diverse and wide-ranging stakeholder groups and their inputs/requirements. Experience of delivering change to diverse and wide-ranging stakeholder group
