Category Manager - 6 months - Warwick - Negotiable Rate

A leading Energy and Utility client of Hyphen is looking for a Category Manager to join their procurement team for a large upcoming Supply Chain Project.

Summary:

By taking a global view and developing new procurement strategies with your stakeholders, you could make a real difference to the clients bottom line. Leading a category team, you'll drive through innovative ways of working, delivering best value to the business by developing a detailed understanding of their objectives. You'll also lead by example by managing complex high-value bid negotiations.

You'll have the opportunity to hone a wide range of business skills that could equip you to climb to the highest levels of our procurement division, or to build a commercial career elsewhere in our international organisation.

To succeed, you'll need substantial experience in procurement at a strategic level, which will include delivering complex projects with and through multi-disciplinary teams. You'll also be capable of strong stakeholder management at a senior level.

We're looking for energetic, results focused people who are capable of managing people, budgets and resources. Experience of energy, utilities or regulated procurement would be helpful but not essential, providing you are highly analytical and able to get to grips with new information quickly.

-Plan Sourcing Projects and control progress
-Strategic Sourcing, run structured procurement process with defined governance (eg 7 step process)
-Supplier Engagement
-Ability to Negotiate, including running and planning negotiations
